Course Objective

To give practical training to students on basic mobile prosthetic rehabilitation of total or partial edentulous patients. To give practical training to students on basic fixed prosthetic rehabilitation of patients with severely damaged teeth or partial edentulism. In addition, to teach the physician and patient communication practically.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student must have performed fixed prosthetic treatment on at least 6 abutment teeth with an instructor within the specified period.
2   The student must have made at least 2 pieces of total prosthesis under the guidance of the instructor within the specified time The student must have made at least 2 pieces of partial prosthesis with the guidance of the instructor within the specified time
3   The student should at least be able to make the necessary preparations on the tooth or teeth for fixed prosthetic restorations, accompanied by an instructor within the specified time.
4   The student should be able to take the measurement of the tooth or teeth prepared for the construction of fixed prosthetic restorations under the guidance of the instructor. The student should know the laboratory stages of fixed prosthetic restorations,
5   The student should be able to make the necessary oral preparations for removable dentures The student should be able to take measurements for removable dentures The student should know the laboratory construction stages of removable dentures and perform clinical rehearsals of these

1 1. Diagnosis and treatment for simple fixed prosthetic restorations (metal-supported ceramic crown, post-core) in the prosthetic dentistry clinic, accompanied by a lecturer
2 2. Diagnosis and treatment planning of simple partial edentulism cases in the prosthodontic clinic, accompanied by a lecturer.
3 3. Treatment of partial edentulism cases with simple fixed prosthesis in the prosthetic dentistry clinic, accompanied by a lecturer.
4 4. Treatment of partial edentulism cases with simple removable prosthesis in the prosthetic dentistry clinic, accompanied by a lecturer.
5 5. Diagnosis and treatment planning of simple cases of complete edentulism in the prosthetic dental treatment clinic, accompanied by a lecturer.
6 6. Treatment of edentulous cases with simple removable removable full dentures in the prosthetic dentistry clinic, accompanied by a lecturer.
7 7. Treatment of simple joint disorders in the prosthetic dental treatment clinic, accompanied by an instructor

Assessment Criteria

The student should be able to make diagnosis and treatment planning for total or partial edentulous patients under the guidance of an instructor. The student should be able to make diagnosis and treatment planning for fixed prosthetic restorations of partially edentulous patients, perform non-complex fixed prosthetic treatment applications, under the guidance of an instructor.
