Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to transfer all the workflow from pre-shooting, shooting stage, transferring the photographs to the computer, processing and archiving processes to the use of the image in different media, as well as to teach the preparation of the image for the media to be used and creative color editing methods.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1-Learning basic information about color information and color management in digital photography,
2   2- Learning digital camera calibration and color profiling,
3   3- Developing color knowledge and understanding its contribution to photographic design,
4   4- Ability to create creative images with creative color adjustments in raw photography,
5   5- Learning to interpret and process digital photographs.

In addition to the theoretical lecture, research and project production processes of the course, in order for the student to follow and apply the current developments in the field, the classrooms (and the student himself/herself) must have up-to-date versions of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom Classic, Adobe Bridge programs and computers with sufficient technical specifications.
Colorchecker Passport Photo 2 is required for color profiling.
