Course Objective

To be able to define culture and digital culture, to evaluate their characteristics, to make sense of the relationship between photography and culture and the relationship between culture and photography. It is aimed to rethink the position, definition and meaning of photography in digital and post-digital culture, to make sense of the relationship between culture, art and image transformed in the age of post.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1- To be able to evaluate the scope and characteristics of digital culture,
2   2- Making sense of the interaction between new media and culture,
3   3- To be able to evaluate the new structure of the photographic image in digital culture.
4   4- To be able to define the post digital era
5   5- Making sense of post digital image production and culture
6   6- To be able to comprehend the methodology of post digital photographic image production
7   7- To be able to make sense of the relationship between art, culture and photographic image in the age of posters.
