Course Objective |
To understand the pregnancy physiology in pet species, the potential pathologies that may occur in the mother and offspring during pregnancy, the hormonal mechanisms, physiology, and course of normal birth, the challenges of difficult births and assistance interventions, the physiology and problems of the puerperium period, and the care and necessary interventions for the mother and offspring during the perinatal period. |

Assessment Criteria |
The student will be evaluated based on the questions asked in the midterm and final exams. Additionally, presentations and research assignments given throughout the term will be taken into account for the evaluation of the overall performance. |
