Course Objective

The aim is to provide basic information about the anatomy and physiology of the reproductive organs in pet species, understanding the effects of hormones, examination techniques of the genital organs, and the control of reproduction.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student is expected to have knowledge about the morphology of the reproductive system of female pets.
2   The student gains knowledge about the reproductive physiology of female pets.
3   The student acquires knowledge about reproductive hormones, their diagnosis, and their clinical applications.
4   The student becomes knowledgeable about performing examinations of the genital organs in female pets and evaluating the findings.
5   The student gains knowledge about the control of reproduction in female pets.

Assessment Criteria

The students will be evaluated based on the questions asked in the midterm and final exams. Additionally, evaluations will be made through research and presentation assignments given throughout the term.

Course Policies and Rules

The responsibility for attending 70% of the theoretical classes throughout the term lies with the student. Compliance with the scheduled class times and assignment submission deadlines, if requested, is required. Actions regarding unethical behavior that occur during classes and exams will be addressed within the framework of the relevant regulations.
