Course Objective

Definition of fishery products, living conditions of aquatic creatures, anatomical and physiological characteristics, basic requirements of aquatic products, fish necropsy examination, sampling and sending techniques for laboratory, viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic and metabolic diseases, vaccine and Information about drug administration methods will be given.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Student knows the definition and general characteristics of fishery products.
2   Have an idea about the general requirements for the rearing of aquatic organisms.
3   Conducts fish necropsy examination and sends a sample to the laboratory for examination as appropriate.
4   Makes drug applications in cases of disease in aquatic organisms.
5   Takes necessary precautions to prevent diseases in aquatic organisms.
