Course Objective

With this course, students will learn about rats, mice, rabbits and other laboratory animals; It is aimed to acquire knowledge and skills in physiology, anatomy, histology, embryology, biochemistry and behavior, stress and well-being.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to describe concepts related to the physiology, anatomy, histology, embryology, biochemistry and behavior of the rat, mouse, rabbit and other laboratory animals.
2   To be able to compare the physiological, anatomical, histological, embryological, biochemical and behavioral differences between species.
3   To be able to practice basic physiology, anatomy, histology, embryology, biochemistry and behavior of rat, mouse, rabbit and other laboratory animals.
4   Ability to use this information in planning and implementing basic research

- Understanding the theoretical presentations and interactive discussions of the course is evaluated by midterm and final exams,
