Course Objective

To recognize arthropod diseases seen in humans and animals, to teach their morphology, spread and life cycles, to diagnose and identify the diseases they cause, to take measures to prevent the spread of these diseases among animals and to provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills to treat them.

1 Arthropoda and Arthro Description of podology, Relationships between arthropods and their hosts, Types of parasitism, Immunity to arthropods, External structure of arthropods General characteristics, protection and control methods of arthropods in Glossinidae, Muscidae, Pupipara, Scorpionidea and Arenea groups
2 Internal structure of arthropods (respiratory, muscular, digestive, excretory, circulatory, nervous systems, endocrine system) Morphological features, life cycles, pathogenesis, clinical symptoms, epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and control methods of arthropods in the order Metastigmata
3 Control methods of parasitic arthropods, fight against Arthropoda General characteristics, protection and control methods of arthropods in Glossinidae, Muscidae, Pupipara, Scorpionidea and Arenea groups
4 Morphological features, life cycles, pathogenesis, clinical symptoms, epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and control methods of Phthiraptera (Lice) order Morphological features, life cycles, pathogenesis, clinical symptoms, epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and control methods of arthropods in the Prostigmata and Mesostigmata orders
