Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

According to the Regulations of Dokuz Eylül University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Second Cycle (Masters Degree) Programme with thesis is comprised of courses (at least 54 ECTS), a seminar (2 ECTS), and field study (4 ECTS) and thesis (60 ECTS) credits. İn total 120 ECTS credits. Students must have minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50/4.00 and completed all the courses with at least CB / S / TP grades.

Profile of the Programme

The objectives of this programme are training the candidates to demonstrate skills in the recognition of meaningful problems, cases, and questions for research in medical parasitology and providing formal and academic instructions in the area of parasitology.

9   has enough English knowledge to keep up to date with international scientific knowledge and communicate with scholar community.
10   uses data processing and communication technologies for obtaining recuired data in researchs.
11   is able to contribute not only the laboratory researchs but also field studies.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

The students are evaluated with the success of 2 midterms, 1 final exam, homework, projects and laboratory works. To be successful in this course must be received at least 75.
