Department of Neuroscience was established at 2004 as a multidisciplinary department of Institute of Health Science by approval of The Council of Higher Education. Our academic personel are from basic (Biochemistry, Physiology, Anotomy, Pathology and Pharmacology) and clinical (Neurology, Psychiatry and Neurosurgery) departments. Specific Admission Requirements |
Second Cycle Degree in the same or in related disciplines. Acceptable score on ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam) or Equivalent GRE, GMAT score. Acceptable score on Language Proficiency Tests. Acceptable weighted score based on the first or second cycle (with thesis) cumulative grade point average (GPA) and ALES score. However, ALES requirement is waived for the graduates of doctorate /arts proficiency/medical residency/ dental residency/ veterinary residency/ pharmaceutical residency programs as well as for the admissions to the graduate programs offered by the Conservatory and the departments of Fine Arts Faculty, where students are admitted only by the Artistic Aptitude Test. Final admission is based on the evaluation of the related academic unit committee. International student admission requirements are decided by the Graduate School Executive Committee. |

The aim of the programme is to provide indepth knowledge and analaysing skills in the field of occupational health, and supporting the candidates for a research-oriented career in academic, public or private sector by providing candidates with a focused knowledge of public health and occupational health as well as a detailed knowledge in his or her area of research; supporting their ability to keep abreast of developments; providing the infrastructure and guidance to acquire technical skills in auditing and risk assessment in the field; creating proficiency in questioning, planning of research, collecting, analysing and evaluating data, application of appropriate statistical methods and to report the results in the scientific format in the field of occupational health. |

Assessment of students was done with 2 midterm examination, 1 final examination, homework and project studies. Students must have minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50/4.00 and completed all the courses with at least CB / S / TP grades. |
Graduation Requirements |
12. There are total of 37 courses for Occupational Health PhD Program including 12 occupational health oriented and 19 HIS courses. Candidates are required to choose classes equal to 90 ECTS out of these 31 courses. |
