Course Objective

The course provides students with the personal, interpersonal and group skills necessary to reduce the gap between good ideas and accepted practices; guides students toward becoming a proficient manager and supervisor; improves management skills; studies roles and responsibilities of managers, the use of conceptual, technical and human skills to carry out the basic management functions.

1   Develop an understanding of important concepts in the social sciences and how they apply to working effectively within organizations.
2   Develop the skills necessary to observe, diagnose and manage their behavior and the behavior of others in an organizational context to improve performance.

Assessment Criteria

1. Participation: (20%)
It is important to come to class prepared.
Evaluation Criteria: Student
1) Did not attend the class (0 Pn)
2) Came to class but did not make the necessary preparation, did not answer the questions and did not interact. (1 Pn)
3) Prepared and participated as required, answered questions appropriately but rarely spontaneously incorporated (2-4 Pn)
4) Prepared, organized by sharing views and providing relevant answers to questions participated. Tried to make connections with the theories and responded to the comments of others. Respectful towards and encouraged them to participate (Pn 5-7)
5) Well prepared and participated frequently. Discussions were linked to theory. Supported, raised relevant issues, offered new insights, Helpful for progress. Respects and contributes to the comments of others and encourages others to participate. Assumes the role of a leader (8-10 Pn)

2. Self-assessment: (20%)
Self-assessment tests should be completed in each lesson, scored and posted on the internet. must be uploaded and a copy of the printout must be submitted.

3. Written assignments: Nine written assignments. 20%

Completion of assessments in chapters 1, 2 and 3, It is expected to review the scores, to get to know oneself. Assignments are expected self-assessment, his/her opinion about the test result, why, strengths and weaknesses Behavioral examples should be given.
1) Main idea: Definitions (15 Pn)
2) Content: Analysis, synthesis (20 Pn)
3) Support: Evidence supporting the objective, links between them (20 Pn)
4) Organization: Structure, topic, purpose, goal, thesis, idea development, defining relationships (20 Pn)
5) Style: Words, Sentences, Structure, (10Pn)
6) Spelling rules: Spelling, punctuation, grammar, (15 Pn)

4. Case studies: (20%)
Three case studies. Cases must be uploaded to the system, the questions responses should be integrated and written as a single response. There should be a clear understanding should be demonstrated.
1) Facts : Background, characteristics, (10 Pn)
2) Problem definition: Identification of problems (20 Pn)
3) Analysis: Evaluation of facts, problems (20 Pn)
4)Alternative Solution: Evaluation of options, comparison (20 Pn)
5) Recommendations: Action plan, final decisions with evidence (20 Pn)
6) Results/Outputs: Problem-related outcomes (10 Pn)
7) Question and answer in case studies with questions (20 Pn)

5. Reporting: (20%)
To be selected and completed from the activities at the end of each unit. It is important to emphasize what has been learned, to do deep reflection (20%)
1) Integration of Knowledge: Reflecting on what has been learned (25 Pn)
2) Topic focus: Scope of the report (25 pn).
3) Discussion Discussion of the main topic (20 Pn).
4) Organization: Structure, headings, introduction, main idea, conclusion (10 Points)
5) Spelling Rules: Grammar (10 Points)
6) Sources: Literature (10 points).
