Course Objective

To increase general knowledge about chronic health problems.
To understand the importance of psychological factors in chronic health problems.
To have information about treatments for chronic health problems
To have information about the use of psychotherapy in chronic health problems
To have information about the evaluation of psychological factors in chronic health problems

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define chronic health problems, to have knowledge about their prevalence and etiology
2   To explain chronic health problems within the framework of the biopsychosocial model
3   To have knowledge about the treatment of chronic health problems
4   To have knowledge about psychotherapies applied to chronic health problems
5   To have knowledge about cognitive behavioral therapy applications in chronic health problems, to have completed the preliminary preparation for application
6   To have knowledge about measurement and evaluation tools in chronic health problems
