Course Objective |
The course integrates physiology from the cell to the organism with comparisons among humans and laboratory animals to have a basic understanding of how the organ systems of the body work. Emphasis is on understanding of basic physiological concepts, stressing structure-function relationships and underlying physio-chemical mechanisms that is required for an understanding of health and disease in humans and other animals. Comparative physiology seeks to use model animal systems which can best address specific questions. |
