Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine instructional methods designed to support the academic and social development of individuals with special needs and to enable teacher candidates to effectively plan and implement these methods in practice.

1   Explains the theoretical foundations of special teaching methods.
2   Identifies instructional strategies for teaching academic skills (reading, writing, math, science).
3   Analyzes strategies for teaching social skills.
4   Designs activity-based and individualized instructional plans.
5   Applies instructional assessment tools in practice.
6   Relies on evidence-based practices during instruction.
