Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable the student to understand the role and power of communication in women s access to and use of healthcare services, and to plan actions to overcome communication barriers.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   LO1. Explains the concept of health communication and establishes its relationship with women's health.
2   LO2. Evaluates the communication barriers women face in the process of receiving healthcare services.
3   LO3. Analyzes the effects of media on women's health.
4   LO4. Understands communication strategies with women in special groups.
5   LO5. Designs and presents communication projects related to women's health.
