Course Objective

To teach basic statistical concepts and how statistics can be used in management via examples

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to define fundamental concepts in statistics
2   Performing descriptive analysis and preparing graphical displays of data
3   Being able to calculate probability using basic rules of probability and probability distributions
4   Calculating confidence intervals and performing hypothesis tests for a single population
5   Calculating confidence intervals and performing hypothesis tests for two populations
6   Choosing and applying appropriate statistical method for data
