Course Objective

The main objective of the course is to analyze and explain the basic concepts and issues related to the use of technology in tourism. Within the scope of the course, different technologies are defined and analyzed. The technologies used in the tourism industry and their use as well as their positive and negative impacts on tourism businesses are analyzed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understanding the importance of technology in the tourism industry.
2   To define and explain the basic concepts and applications of technologies used in the tourism industry.
3   Understand and identify the impact (positive and negative) of technologies on the tourism industry.
4   To use the knowledge gained within the scope of the course in solving problems related to the organization and functioning of tourism.
5   Recognize and understand the importance of the use of technology in the tourism industry.
