To grasp the historical process that contributed to the birth and development of soicology.

1   To learn the social, political philosophies before the birth of sociology
2   To recognize the social problems that forced the birth of sociology
3   To grasp the pozitivist approach
4   To learn the major sociological theories and sociologist
5   To learn theories of Comte, Durkheim, Pareto and Weber
6   To analyze society in terms of major classic sociological theories
