Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define and analyze the concept of violence against women within social, cultural, and religious contexts.
2   Critically examine how different religious texts and traditions shape attitudes toward women and perceptions of violence.
3   Evaluate the interpretative processes of religious discourses, taking sectarian and historical differences into account.
4   Develop the ability to question religious arguments and discourses that legitimize violence against women.
5   Interpret religious discourses from the perspective of gender equality and human rights.
6   Present critical and informative analyses on the relationship between religious discourses and violence through academic writing and presentations.
7   Evaluate the impact of religious discourses on women s rights and anti-violence policies in contemporary social debates.
