Course Objective

Within the scope of the course, the visual transformation of the female image in the art of photography since the invention of photography will be examined. Because photographic images have always been directed by the powers due to their different areas of use and prevalence, and women's identity has been reconstructed politically and aesthetically in every period. During the course, the historical development of the art of photography, its transformational relationship with art movements, the philosophy of photography, the impact of socio-cultural transformations of societies on art, etc. will be examined in the context of transformations in the art of photography and the image of women.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1	1-- Learning the history of photography and the first women photographers
2	2-Investigation of the political and sociological origins of images of women presented through photography
3	3-Analyzing the reflections of female identity in the interactions of photography and other art disciplines,
4	4-Ability to make technical and aesthetic analyses of female identity in contemporary photography.
5	5-It is aimed to gain the skills of photographic analysis and writing text on the subject.
