Course Objective

To increase awareness about addiction.
To learn the basic concepts about addiction.
To have information about the stages of addiction.
To learn different types of addiction.
To understand the importance of preventing addiction.
To be able to develop solutions at personal and social levels in the fight against addiction.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Knows the basic concepts, types of addiction, symptoms and causes of addiction.
2   2. Explains the negative consequences of addiction.
3   3. Analyzes individual and social risk factors for addiction.
4   4. Knows personal and social responsibilities in combating addiction.
5   5. Gives importance to preventing addiction and supporting people affected by addiction.
6   6. Has knowledge about interventions to prevent addiction and support people affected by addiction.
