Course Objective

It is a course designed to provide knowledge and skills on the concept of geriatrics, epidemiology, theories of aging, comprehensive geriatric assessment, exercise programming in the elderly, and the effectiveness of physiotherapy in geriatric syndromes.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learns about the definition of aging, theories of aging, and systemic changes.
2   Know the content of comprehensive geriatric assessment in detail and can apply it
3   Knows the characteristics of exercise programs for elderly individuals, can create and apply an exercise program.
4   Gain knowledge about physiotherapy applications in different geriatric pathologies.
5   Follows the literature on the subject
