Course Objective

This course is designed to cover the neuroscientific, cognitive, psychological, and clinical aspects of aging. It aims to comprehensively address the effects of aging on the brain, changes in cognitive and motor functions, and the positive effects of exercise on the aging brain.

1   Explaining Changes in Brain Structure and Function in the Aging Process
2   Explaining the Effects of Exercise on Cognitive Functions
3   Explaining Motor Control and Movement Mechanisms in the Elderly
4   Explaining the Protective and Therapeutic Effects of Exercise on Neurodegenerative Diseases
5   Designing and Implementing Exercise-Based and Technology-Supported Rehabilitation Programs
6   Critically Evaluate Scientific Research on Exercise and Brain Health, develop an evidence-based perspective, construct research hypotheses, and evaluate data analysis methods.
