Course Objective

To increase the quality of emergency intervention by ensuring the reliability of procedures in interventions by teaching paramedics how to use the ultrasonography device in the pre-hospital and ambulance, and to create an intervention plan according to the preliminary diagnoses of patients/injured people, which can be made faster through the ultrasonography device.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1-Can define the ultrasonography device, its features and types.
2   2-Can define fractures, dislocations, muscle, tendon injuries of trauma patients.
3   3-Can define bleeding into body cavities and free fluids.
4   4-Can define whether the patient has fluid deficit.
5   5-Can evaluate cardiac activity with echocardiography in cardiac arrest and acute coronary syndromes.
6   6-Has the ability to use USG in special cases (Pediatric, Obstetric, Gynecological etc.).
