Course Objective

Within the scope of this course, it is aimed for students to adopt the ethical principles of the technician profession by explaining the concepts of professional values and ethics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define the concepts of ethical and professional values,
2   List ethical rules and ethical systems,
3   Establish a relationship between ethical and professional values,
4   Explain and give examples of ethical principles and unethical issues in business life,
5   Adopt ethical principles in the technician profession,
6   Produce solutions to the cases encountered in business life in line with ethical principles.

Assessment Criteria

Meaningful learning of the basic concepts given in presentations, association of concepts with each other, establishing the cause-result relationships and making comments by using the information available for problems and evaluating idea generation are carried out with mid-term and final exams, active participation to the lecture, homework.
