Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide the necessary rules and application skills to organize and maintain the order of the entire process, from establishing laboratory working rules to taking the patient sample and presenting the patient results, within the framework of laboratory quality management principles.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to learn about work organization in medical laboratories and implement practices.
2   Students will be able to list the duties, authorities, and responsibilities of laboratory personnel.
3   Students will be able to organize the work environment.
4   Students will be able to communicate effectively in the delivery of healthcare services.
5   Students will have the knowledge and skills to protect employee health.
6   Students will have the knowledge and skills to ensure patient and analyte safety.
7   Students will be able to organize pre- and post-laboratory procedures related to patient material.

6 Laboratory organization, personnel authority and responsibilities.
7 Documentation: Standards, instructions, and workflows.
8 Receiving patient materials and laboratory admission.
9 Requesting and managing consumables.
10 Providing equipment maintenance and repair.
11 Quality control and evaluation.
12 Laboratory information systems and intra-laboratory communication.
