Course Objective

This course aims to teach students the physical principles based on the concepts of heat, work, and energy, and to provide them with the competence to apply the laws of thermodynamics to closed and open systems.

1   To be able to define of basic concepts of thermodynamics
2   To be able to do general energy conversion and solving
3   To be able to find the properties of a pure substance
4   To be able to apply the first law of thermodynamics to open and closed systems
5   To be able to define the second law of thermodynamics
