Course Objective

The course aims to equip students with the ability to examine the ceramic forms, techniques, and aesthetic approaches of the Byzantine period, and to reproduce these historical forms using contemporary technologies.

1   Identifies the forms, decorative elements, and technical features of Byzantine ceramics.
2   Ensures technical accuracy in the reproduction process.
3   Documents the ceramic production process.

This course will be conducted both theoretically and practically within the scope of the program. Practical applications will be addressed and evaluated through examples of Byzantine ceramics.

The student is required to prepare at least one seminar and one project during the semester.
