Course Objective

It aims to approach clothing design as an art form and to develop creative application studies with different pattern techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to analyze clothing forms in terms of art and design.
2   Ability to establish the relationship between design, material and construction of clothing forms.
3   Ability to create new constructions using mold-draping and other techniques.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The research topic of the students is determined by informing the lecturer about the course topics with references. During the application studies, the examination of clothing forms in terms of art, design and construction, and the realization of creative experimental application studies in line with the literature and visual source research regarding technique and material.

Assessment Criteria

From artistic, creative and innovative approach in clothing designs.
From the correct association of construction, material and application technique suitable for the clothing form.
Scoring is done based on projects, homework etc. files.
