Course Objective

To understand the applications of sound operators in broadcasting, especially television broadcasts. The basic concepts of sound technology and the flow of sound signals. To be able to use sound control and parameters by knowing broadcast audio format and standards.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowing the relation between audio signal, audio and video.
2   Learning fundamental terms and concepts in the context of physics of sound and audio.
3   To use audio controls for visual purposes by recognizing common audio formats
4   Knowing and using the audio hardware used in broadcasting
5   Knowing digital audio technology
