Course Objective

To contribute to the development of knowledge and awareness of the theory and techniques of various expression methods such as relaxation, guided imagery, mandala, meditation, drama, play, dance/movement, focusing, musical drama, poetry.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explains the basic approaches and principles of expressive interventions.
2   Discusses how expressive interventions can be integrated with the field of psychological health.
3   Explain the basic approaches to expressive therapy and expressive techniques (art therapy, music therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, etc.).
4   Evaluates how expressive interventions can be used effectively with different client groups.
5   Evaluates how expressive interventions can be used effectively in different problem areas.

7 Expressionist Interventions: Poetry/Literature, Music and Metaphor Techniques
