Course Objective

The aim of the course is to enable the student to read Ottoman Turkish and make legal evaluations through selected Ottoman Turkish legal texts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to recognize Ottoman Turkish letters 2   Ability to read Ottoman Turkish 3   Ability to read through selected Ottoman Turkish texts 4   To be able to understand the legal concepts in Ottoman Turkish texts 5   To be able to evaluate the Ottoman Turkish texts from a legal point of view
