Course Objective


The aim of this study is to teach the methods, purposes of animal models in oncology. The students will learn how to develop tumor models. The role and importance of animal models in oncologic research will be thougt in details.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Capable of understanding importance of experimental animal model studies in oncology.
2   Be able to understand aim and principles of experimental animal studis in oncology.
3   Be able to learn methods of tumor forming in animal models.
4   Be able to understand ethic concerns of experimental animal tumor models.
5   Capable of planning and doing experimental oncologic animal studies.

Assessment Criteria

Learning outcomes will be assessed with classical questions of mid-term and final exams. The homework on the topic of reading and evaluating 5 different types of papers about tumor immunology will help in evaluating the learner understood the topics or not.
