Course Objective

This course aims the students to have information about wound and stoma care, nurse s tasks and responsibilities in accordance with the evidence-based resources,standards and up-to-date guides and to be able to apply these learnings to care.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student discusses the wound and stoma care nurse s professional task and importance.
2   The student explains the wound etiology and the physiopatological process of wound healing
3   The student discusses the up-to-date issues about wound and stoma care and the evidence-based guides.
4   The student follows the up-to-date healthcare technologies in wound and stoma care.
5   The student analyzes the datas of patient who needs wound and stoma care and make decisions on correct nursing attempts.
6   The student integrates his/her knowledge about wound and stoma care and has the practice skills for it.
7   The student finds new informations in wound and stoma care nursing and continue to develop individually
8   The student shows awareness of legal and ethic issues during the clinical practice.
