Course Objective

Give students enough information about the basic concepts of inorganic chemistry

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand Bohr's atomic model based on the atomic spectrum. 2   Comprehend the basis of quantum mechanics based on wave / particle dilemma. 3   Interpret covalent bonding based on various theories and approaches 4   Understand the concepts conductor, insulator, semi-conductor in relation with band theory 5   Understand the structures of metallic and ionic crystals lattice. 6   Explain ionic bonding through lattice energy. 7   Find out lattice types from radius rates. 8   Comprehend various acid-base meanings.
