Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine the characteristics, historical development and role of educational literary texts in education. It aims to analyze the didactic elements of educational texts, their cultural transmission function and their place in the transfer of moral values and knowledge. In addition, it is aimed to provide students with the ability to interpret, make comparative analysis and evaluate educational literary texts from a pedagogical perspective.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Understand the basic characteristics and historical development of educational literary texts.
2   2. Recognize and classify educational text types.
3   3. Analyze didactic elements in educational literary texts.
4   4. Evaluates the function of texts in terms of transferring cultural and moral values.
5   5. Examines the literary and pedagogical aspects of educational texts comparatively.
6   6. Interprets educational literary texts within the framework of contemporary educational understanding.
7   7. Analyzes literary texts used as educational materials.
8   8. Develops critical thinking and academic writing skills on educational literary texts.
