Course Objective

Being able to write and play accompaniments with triadic and tetradic harmony systems for school songs and educational melodies (such as solfege, etc.) within the scope of educational music.

1   Recognizing and applying accompaniment figures and patterns.
2   Being able to write and play accompaniments for school songs.
3   Being able to write and play accompaniments for songs and melodies within the scope of educational music.
4   Being able to write and play accompaniments for educational music (solfege, monophonic musical etudes, etc.).
5   Being able to write and play fully dependent accompaniments.
6   Being able to write and play semi-dependent and independent accompaniments.

1 1 Information regarding the purpose of the course.
2 2 Introduction to accompaniment figures through accompanied songs.
3 3 Examination of examples from accompanied children's songs and their formal-harmonic analysis.
4 4 Examination of examples from accompanied youth songs and their formal-harmonic analysis.
5 5 Examination of examples from accompanied educational music and their formal-harmonic analysis.
6 6 Examination of universal song examples and their formal-harmonic analysis.
7 7 The use of intro and outro sections in accompaniment.
8 8 Midterm Exam
9 9 Writing semi-dependent accompaniments for selected songs and melodies.
10 10 Performing the semi-dependent accompaniments written for selected songs and melodies.
11 11 Writing independent accompaniments for selected songs and melodies.
12 12 Performing the independent accompaniments written for selected songs and melodies.
13 13 Accompaniment studies using all technical and conceptual knowledge.
14 14 General review.
15 15 Final Exam
