Course Objective

To comprehend music theory on advanced level.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to realise figured bass with all types of chords, non-chord tones, altered chords and modulations. 2   Ability to harmonize soprano with all types of chords, non-chord tones, altered chords and modulations. 3   Ability to explain the basic principles of tonal counterpoint. 4   Ability to analyze musical works written with the counterpoint technique. 5   Ability to compose monophonic and polyphonic musical works.
