Course Objective

It aims to acquaint students with the logic and concepts of theoretical and critical rhetoric, classifying art across diverse geographies and disciplines from the past to the present. In this context, it explores and discusses the forms of expression within the Dionysian and Apollonian artistic traditions that underlie modern art. Course objectives are achieved by enabling students to relate, exemplify, and draw conclusions about the transformation of the image within different art forms within the creative process. It also focuses on the relationship and importance of photography with other art forms.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

1-The necessary literature related to the course is given to students.to increase the efficiency during the semester
2-The related to course topics makes presentations
3-An interactive discussion environment is created regarding the content of the course and brainstorming is done.
4-It is requested to produce a scientific article from the topics discussed.
5-Scientific studies are evaluated.
6-On-site participation and evaluations are made by choosing different artistic activities that take place in the city culture.
7-Art experts who are experts in their subject are invited to the lesson, a discussion environment and student participation are ensured within the context of the subject.
