Course Objective

The aim is to introduce emerging communication technologies and digital systems in the field of healthcare, and to examine their applications within the health sector while discussing their impacts. The course intends to enable students to analyze the effects of digital platforms and communication tools on the healthcare industry, to use these tools effectively and ethically, and to design innovative communication solutions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can define the digital world, digital culture, and network society in which they live.
2   Can identify new communication technologies and their key characteristics.
3   Can comprehend the analysis of digital transformation in health communication and its integration into healthcare services.
4   Can determine the areas of application for digital and artificial intelligence-based technologies within healthcare services.
5   Can articulate the opportunities and limitations presented by new communication technologies in the healthcare sector.
6   Learns the necessary steps to design and manage effective digital initiatives such as public health information campaigns, corporate social responsibility projects, and health awareness programs
7   Gains foundational knowledge regarding data privacy, adherence to ethical principles, and legal regulations in the use of digital communication tools.
