Course Objective

The aging health course aims to help students gain the knowledge and skills to provide health services to older people by understanding the roles and responsibilities of health professionals in all areas where health services are provided.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Understanding the needs of social changes and aging society
2   2. Explaining the bio-psycho-social changes that affect the health of older people
3   3. Knowing the roles and responsibilities of health professionals in a comprehensive geriatric assessment
4   4. Knowing the health-protective and developmental approaches for older people
5   5. Being able to determine the health education needs of older people in line with the needs of the individual, family and society
6   6. Being able to fulfill professional responsibilities regarding the needs of older people
