Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to gain the student the knowledge and skills related to the basic concepts and topics of internal medicine nursing.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowing the system diseases and nursing care
2   Using the nursing process in the care of patients with acute or chronic internal diseases
3   Approaching the healthy individual/patient holistically
4   Discussing the knowledge obtained in the field of internal medicine nursing with a critical approach
5   Giving health training according to requirements of the patient/family on the primary, secondary and tertiary level of health prevention
6   Knowing the patient s rights and ethical approaches in internal medicine clinics
7   Following the current knowledge related to internal medicine
8   Being willing to take part in patient care in a multidisciplinary team in internal medicine clinics
