Course Objective

To examine the national status and implementation of the ECHR and the impact of the judgments of the ECtHR on the domestic legal systems.

5 5. The constitutional, legislative and supra-legislative status of the ECHR in the domestic legal orders
6 6. The entegration of the ECHR into the national law: The British model of detailed statutory incorporation
7 7. The entegration of the ECHR into the national law: The Dutch model of constitutional recognition
8 8. The entegration of the ECHR into the national law: The Belgian model of judicial adoption
9 9. The entegration of the ECHR into the national law: The German model of basic statutory incorporation
10 10. The Conventionality review of laws: French and Belgian cases
11 11. Transnational constitutional aspects of the ECHR
12 12. Case-Law of the ECtHR and the supra-national separation of powers
