Course Objective

To provide information to archaeology students about the production methods and mining stages of natural stones from past to present, and to enable them to evaluate the ancient mines they will encounter and the methods by which the products produced from these mines were processed.

1   To recognize natural stones in ancient structures
2   To be knowledgeable about ancient natural stone production methods
3   To have knowledge about processing techniques of natural stone products in structures in archaeological sites
4   To learn the use of natural stones in natural stone monuments built in the historical process
