Course Objective

To gain the prospective teachers, the concepts of drama, explaining development and historical process of drama, concepts, techniques and phases of pedagogic, creative, and psycho-drama and also discussing and gaining the characteristics of drama process and the skills for developing drama practice samples in primary education.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Possesses knowledge about basic concepts such as plays and techniques in drama.
2   Understands the development and historical process of drama.
3   Explains the similarities and differences among pedagogic drama, creative drama, and psychodrama.
4   Describes the appropriate settings for drama and evaluates the drama process.
5   Understands the phases of drama.
6   Plans and implements drama as a teaching method in primary education.
