Course Objective

This course aims to equip pre-service teachers with sufficient knowledge and competence regarding environmental science, environmental issues, and environmental education; to enhance their environmental awareness and sensitivity; and to develop their environmental literacy.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Defines basic ecological concepts and principles.
2   Recognizes the importance of ecological balance for the environment and living beings.
3   Understands environmental issues.
4   Explains environmental pollution and its contributing factors.
5   Describes the consequences of environmental pollution.
6   Generates solution proposals to prevent environmental pollution.
7   Designs activities related to environmental education at the elementary school level.
