Course Objective

Türkiye's geographical position and physical features are going to be elaborated in details. Also, by emphasizing socioeconomical aspects, geopolitical characteristics of Türkiye and its place in the World politics and by student participation it will be assured that the subjects are clearly understood.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehension of Türkiye's mathematical and special position features. 2   Comprehension of characteristics of Türkiye's habitat (geological, geomorphological, climatology, hydrography, soil and vegetation). 3   Analyzing Türkiye's human (population, settlement) and economical (agriculture, livestock, industry, trade, tourism and transportation, etc.) aspects. 4   Explaining the geopolitic and geostrategic situation in the region Türkiye exists, by giving examples. 5   Evaluating Türkiye's geostrategic position and importance in the region, according to other countries.
