Course Objective

According to the masters of art history and their drawings, approaching the model academic in order to analyze line as an element of plastic.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   With the help of examining academic, artistic language of drawing; he/she knows the functions of line as a basic element, etude, modeling and lightness and darkness expressions.
2   Knows masters and drawings related to research subjects.
3   Study line as a basic design element. Seeing and discussing the possibilities of line's different values cause diversity and different types of expression.
4   Studying from model for analyzing the movement and anatomic structure.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Intro with basic explanations. Knowing line s functions as basic element, etude linear modeling and expressing light and dark by examining academic and artistic language of drawing.
2 Examining drawings according to usable masters and research subjects.
3 Studying line as a basic design element. Seeing and discussing the possibilities of line s different values cause diversity and different types of expression.
4 Drawing from model for analyzing the movement and anatomic structure by pencil on 50x70.
5 Studying from model with the help of line's different types of expression for defining anatomic and characteristic features by pencil on 50x70.
6 Drawing from model line modeling by pencil on 50x70.
7 Drawing from model for analyzing light-shadow by pencil on 50x70.
8 General Review, Course Assessment, Midterm Exam
9 Studying from model in detail by pencil on 50x70.
10 Drawing with ink and water based on lightness-darkness and line by stick, drawer on 35x50.
