Course Objective

To know the historical development process of the pattern, which is one of the basic elements of art history, and to know the types of patterns and to be able to apply them.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Draws the model according to the rules of proportion and proportion. 2   Places the object on the paper in appropriate proportions. 3   Knows Helvetica and can use it. 4   Knows line-color relationship and interaction.

Week Subject Description 1 The definition of typography and its place in graphic design 2 Drawing studies Portrait 3 Drawing studies: Still life 4 Pattern studies Image-based designs 5 Pattern work from a live model: Light-dark, front-back, small-large relationship 6 Short-term studies from live models, small sketches 7 Pattern work from a live model - etude 8 general review, general assessment, midterm exam 9 Pattern work from a live model: Figure-space relationship 10 Searching for materials that can be used in pattern creations 11 Examination of contemporary design examples from art history 12 Creation of interdisciplinary drawing works 13 Investigating the possibilities of creative expression in drawing studies 14 Portfolio evaluation of the work done during the semester 15 Final Exam
