Course Objective

The Basic Design II course aims to ensure that students observe the environment sensitively, learn to distinguish and judge, and increase their visual expression. It is aimed to provide students with the elements of art and the principles of art, which are the basis of all disciplines, together with the element of color, and to prepare students for upper grades. Students are also provided with the opportunity to develop and acquire generalized techniques for dealing with new problems and new materials. Colorful two- and three-dimensional studies are carried out.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can explain basic art elements and principles with color theories.
2   Recognizes colored materials used in basic design.
3   Creates two- and three-dimensional colored original designs with basic art elements and principles.
4   Develops aesthetic sensitivity with two- and three-dimensional colored original works.
